The pots look nice but they are "pinging" a little (these are functional pieces...mugs, bowls, etc.). ... When I used Highwater Little Loafers, and the same glazes everything pinged. I didn't know what was going on! All clays say ... WebDec 30, 2016 · However Highwater's speckled and Standard's speckled are slightly different in speckleness and color. As far as throwing, it just depends on the batch of clay you get if one is dryer than the other. I haven't really noticed any differences between many of the stonewares in throwing if they are a consistent wetness.
