WebDec 18, 2007 · When I cut off the drip rail I was left with 2 seperated pieces of metal. The inner roof and the outer roof. Also the outer roof has a beveled lip and I had to flatten it. Then I spot welded all along the 2 seams. Then grinded a nice flat surface to the edge. Then I added the rod to the edge and made the outside roof edge flat with the rod edge.
