WebHoward Carter described his discovery of the tomb in a three volume popular publication The Tomb of Tut-ankh-Amen, published between 1923 and 1933. He planned to write a scientific series on the tomb but died in 1939 before he was able to do so. Howard Carter’s family donated all of the excavation records to the Griffith Institute in 1939.
