Webb28 nov. 2015 · As far I know the revs are quicker/acceleration is better and engine has less work but revs are drop faster when gear is changed and max speed is reduced. Correct me if I`m wrong of course! That was my first thoughts also, but some people told me that revs might overshoot easier with lighter flywheel than with a heavier one. Webb1 feb. 2024 · It’s similar to getting going from a dead stop. Usually, shifting from one gear to next is about a 1000 rpm drop. A lighter flywheel will spin down quicker. If your engine makes excellent vacumn, it could spin down during your shift more than the expected 1000 rpm. This makes day to day driving a bitch.
