Sited along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in Wuhan, Hubei Province, the Panlongcheng ruins, identified as an early Shang Dynasty (1600-1046 BC) city from 3,500 years ago, has been found to contain many rich relics within a distinct layout. WebbShang Ruins is the largest and the most well-preserved site during the early Shang Dynasty (16th - 11th century BC). It is located in the city downtown area. Covering an area of about 25 square kilometers, the site still has a city wall with a girth of nearly 7 kilometers.
